Complying with the projected increase in the population in lake county which is predicted to be a 12 percent increase in the next 5 years as well as the already increased number of patients being treated by the emergency department in the hospital which is stated to be 12,000 more patients than the ER had already been serving in the past five years, Orlando Health has decided to construct a freestanding emergency department thirteen miles North of its Clermont campus.
The Joe H. and Loretta Scott health pavilion will be located at the juncture of the U.S. Highway 192 and U.S. Route 27 and is part of a $ 50 million master-planned development with physician offices, restaurants and residential apartments.
This full service freestanding emergency department will be staffed by board-certified physicians. The Joe H. & Loretta Scott Health Pavilion will include a two-story, 40,000-square-foot facility offering outpatient imaging, laboratory and rehabilitation services and has been designed to be flexible enough allowing any needed further upgrades and expansions in the future.
