Railroad LNL2

The LAREDO TO NUEVO LAREDO Bridge 2 (LNL2) project is an international rail bridge that will connect US-Mexico Borders to provide an active railroad between US and Mexico to transport goods and passengers.

HSE scope was to create a baseline schedule to cover the entire scope on both sides according to the available resources to deliver the project on time. The project plan has many challenges such as extracting permits and resources allocation to cover the project needs, not to mention special customs and security permits necessary to ensure construction areas do not pose a risk of cross-border intrusion.

There are two different contractors to work on the project, one for the US side and another for the Mexico Side and both we will work on the international bridge. The coordination between the contractors and the sequence of work was a major challenge that was identified and reflected in the schedule.
