Commercial Construction Superintendent

HSE has an immediate need for a senior superintendent for a very high profile client. The right candidate must have a deep understanding of commercial construction projects especially building stores or malls or shopping plazas. Strong experience in critiquing design and suggesting better sequence of work and identifying time savings options is key. Some of the work could be done from home.

Salary: $120,000.00 to $160,000.00 /year

Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator is responsible for all aspects of estimating the most complex and large-scale jobs, including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Relationship Building.
  2. Ensure that the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently and client expectations are exceeded throughout the duration of the project(s).
  3. Build relationships to understand client, designer and subcontractor needs and expectations.
  4. Effectively facilitates collaboration amongst team members.
  5. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  6. Manage Assistant Estimators.
  7. Participate in business development activities, presentations and interviews.
  8. Lead the Estimating team including Assistant Estimators, MEP Estimators and Career Start team members on projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Estimating large ($100M) commercial projects for a general contractor

Senior Scheduler in San Jose, CA

HSE has an immediate need for a senior scheduler for a very high profile client in San Jose, CA. The job description entails representing an owner in reviewing incoming contractor’s schedules, critiquing logic and running risk analysis reports. Knowledge of commercial construction is a must. 4d Modeling/BIM Engineer

As our BIM Specialist, you will you will be leading BIM execution, clash detection, visualization and/or construction sequencing for all architectural and engineering projects utilizing Autodesk software.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with Project Stakeholders to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete
  2. Create and maintain composite files, run clash detection and ensure construction documents are accurate
  3. Interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids
  4. Produce models that comply with design criteria, contract requirements and applicable codes
  5. Coordinate MEP models and assist to resolve conflicts with other trade professionals
  6. Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria
  7. Track project schedules and milestones for creation of timelines
  8. Follow BIM content standards and development procedures
  9. Maintain and archive electronic drawing files in an organized way
  10. Leverage BIM software and tools as a methodology to coordinate design documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an architectural or engineering curriculum from an accredited University or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Building Information Modeling (BIM) platform for an A/E or Construction firm and extensive knowledge in Autodesk REVIT
  • Preferred knowledge of structural and MEP systems
  • BIM platform REVIT® Architecture knowledge is required
  • Experience in AutoCAD is a plus

Quality & Safety Control Manager

HSE is seeking to hire an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager for/government construction projects to maintain quality on the project.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Read and interpret specifications, plans and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP
  2. Document and update appropriate logs
  3. Conduct, attend and participate in project meetings
  4. Coordinate Three Phase of Control plan Preparatory, Initial and Final Phases
  5. Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress as related to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
  6. Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner
  7. Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the job site
  8. Complete job close-out procedures
  9. Traveling/relocation will be required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction or Building Science.
  • 5 years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager or Project Engineer on a similar size and type of construction contract

Scheduling Engineer/P3e Implementation Experts

HSE is in search of talented and result-driven consultants to lead and assist in implementation consulting engagements for our clients. We need highly skilled Project Management experts with problem-solving abilities and extensive hands-on knowledge of Primavera software. Qualifications:

  • Highly skilled and experienced with Primavera 4.1 or higher, including being familiar with what has changed in Primavera 5.0 products (Project Manager, Timesheets, myPrimavera, etc.).
  • Experienced with the software’s functionality, as well as the table structures and how the various suites of applications are integrated with each other.

Headquartered out of one of our satellite offices, our professional instructors will teach pre-designed coursework in Primavera software and project management principles in both AEC and Enterprise environments. Scheduling Engineering Consultants

These expert consultants are experienced in using Primavera scheduling tools to provide project management solutions for our customers. Our scheduling engineers are full-time employees of HSE, not contractors, so the commitment to our clients is reflected in workmanship. Scheduler/Construction Manager

HSE is looking to hire a highly qualified senior scheduler/construction manager on a part time basis. The right candidate should be capable of quickly reading drawings for vertical construction projects and creating a list of activities and sequence in between them so a junior scheduler can start inputting those activities and create baseline schedules based on that information. Once the schedule is created, the candidate should be able to critique the outcome and provide comments on how to improve the sequence.
